Lay House

George T. Lay built this Greek Revival house as his first home. Mr. Lay later moved to Monterey Township, but kept the house as a residence for his children so they could attend the seminary (high school). In later years the home was used by Mr. Lay's caretaker and coachmen. Upon retirement, Mr. Lay moved back to Allegan and built the home at 342 Cutler.
