Rossman - Winchester House

Rossman - Winchester House
(1869)

524 Marshall

Alby Rossman opened a foundry and machine shop on the mill race in 1836. Years later, his real estate investments culminated in the Rossman Addition that he platted on this plateau above the river, where he built this ornate Italianate house. The house's cast iron roof cresting and matching fence below exemplify the ornamental iron work that came from Rossman's foundry.
